The Minnesota Vikings may not have won on the field in 2016, but they did win off of it.
The team collected a host of honors during the NSF ADchievement Awards, which recognizes the best in sports advertising, with awards given in eight categories.
One of those categories is the "Overall Award of Excellence", which
the Vikings were named the recipients of this year. It's the first time
the Vikings have won the prestigious award. The team also took home the
best in Best in Sales Collateral, Best in Print and Best in In-stadium/In-arena awards.
“The Vikings are incredibly proud of our ADchievement Awards
recognitions,” said Vikings Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing
Officer Steve LaCroix to Vikings.com.
“The opening of U.S. Bank Stadium in 2016 provided multiple
opportunities to showcase exciting elements of the Minnesota Vikings,
our brand’s heritage and the organization’s bright future through work
created by our talented design staff and the Vikings Entertainment
Network.”
In total, the Vikings were selected as finalists in seven of the eight categories, winning four of them.
If only that success could be mimicked on the field, too.
