Heartiest welcome to Anil Kumble as India coach: Virat Kohli

Former captain and legendary leg-spinner Anil Kumble was appointed India's full-time head coach for a year by the BCCI's cricket advisory committee on Thursday. The position was left vacant for 15 months after Duncan Fletcher chose not to renew his contract following India's exit from the 2015 World Cup.Ravi Shastri, who was also in the fray to become coach, continued as team director till the
2015 World Cup with mixed results across formats. However, Kumble's appointment is being seen as a massive step. The likes of Indian Test captain Virat Kohli, former opener Virender Sehwag and discarded England batsman Kevin Pietersen congratulated India's most successful bowler on his appointment.
