SC issues notice to Latha Rajinikanth

Chennai: The Supreme Court today issued a notice to Latha Rajinikanth for allegedly taking Rs 10 crore and failing to provide AD Bureau with Kochadaiyaan distribution rights.The Ad Bureau Advertising had lodged a complaint last year in Bengaluru against Latha Rajinikanth alleging that she
had procured an amount of Rs 10 crore from them promising them the rights of Rajinikanth’s 'Kochadaiyaan'. But the righst were given to Eros International.However, Latha Rajinikanth appealed in a court and after accepting her arguments over the issue, the court dismissed the same.In the meantime, an appeal was filed by Ad Bureau with Supreme Court. And when the case came up for hearing, the Judge ordered issuing notice to Latha Rajinikanth seeking reply within four weeks.
'Kochadaiyaan' was India's first photorealistic motion capture film, directed by Soundarya Ashwin. Deepika Padukone played heroine. It was released on 23 May 2014.
